The Friends Aware “Yes, I Can!” Award for 2022 was presented to Christopher Davis and Lisa Heslop. The award recognizes individuals who have made an exemplary effort to fully participate in the daily life of their community.

Friends Aware hosted an Ice Cream Social event on June 3, 2022. All who attended enjoyed socializing and catching up with friends.

There was face painting and plenty of ice cream.

A big THANK YOU to students from Bishop Walsh who scooped the ice cream and to the Cumberland YMCA who shared information about their activities.

The employees at Friends Aware have fun while they’re at work but safety on the job is not overlooked.

Congratulations Edward “EJ” McGreevy on your award as Friends Aware’s Direct Support Professional of the Year. EJ always has a positive attitude, gives extra effort when needed, and has great rapport with the individuals he supports.

Due to the continuing uncertainty caused by the COVID pandemic, Friends Aware will not be holding our annual Ox Roast in 2022.
